We’re looking to recruit a Rostering Team Leader.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Rostering Team Leader to join our enthusiastic team at Community Care TASMANIA. We are a local award winning service providing home care to vulnerable people across the state.

The Rostering Team Leader will:

  • Supervise staff within the rostering team, ensuring the accurate rostering of home care;
  • Look at route efficiencies, kilometres travelled, KPIs and identifying gaps in order to maximise support workers time and cost effectiveness;
  • Collaborate and work with the Case Managers, Senior Team Leader and HR Manager to provide solutions in regard to rostering issues;
  • Meet the organizational needs through the provision of a high level of customer service;
  • Be responsible for the day to day management of the rostering team, ensuring it maintains a high level of professional support in line with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures using the IT platform currently Telstra ICare Health;
  • Provide practical training to all rostering staff, and promote ongoing development through reviews, supervisions, appraisals and team meetings;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge and awareness of the current SCHCADS award in relation to its impact for rostering.

The Rostering Team Leader will have the following attributes:

  • Ability to problem solve and identify gaps (relevant to dealing with shift or roster allocation scenarios);
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated experience in MS Office and/or rostering systems;
  • Dedicated commitment or experience in leading and managing a team;
  • Experience in scheduling, logistics or workforce planning;
  • Understanding of the Aged Care and Disability sector;
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Sound time management and attention to detail;
  • Ability to effectively liaise with a range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in rostering and scheduling is desirable or the ability to learn quickly; complex IT Telstra health customer service management system;

We are seeking caring, compassionate, skilled support workers to join our team in the Scottsdale and Hobart. This is the result of our growth as a preferred provider of care services across Tasmania. The following skills and attributes are required:

· Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability/Aged Care

· Current Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People(Children) registration

· Smart phone

· Valid Driver's Licence

· Late model, reliable vehicle, with insurances

· Current First Aid Certificate

· Willingness and skills to work compassionately with people from possibly different and diverse backgrounds, in a client's own home.

· A desire and focus to help clients with a disability would be highly regarded.
