Hello and thank you for visiting our website. Here you will find lots of information about Community Care TASMANIA and how we can help you through the aged care maze.

Community Care TASMANIA, (formerly Community Care NESB), is a small scale, local not-for-profit service delivering the highest quality home-based care services.

We are very proud to be a truly Tasmanian service. Being local means we are approachable and responsive and our clients' survey confirms this. To read some client testimonials click here.

You can also find out more about our board and staff.

We know our community and our focus is entirely on home-based care. We know how best to help you through the maze of aged and disability home care.

We understand the care needs of all Tasmanians. Our established links with migrant communities also means we are the best qualified aged and disability care service whatever your background or wherever you live in Tasmania.

Community Care TASMANIA is fully accredited to deliver a comprehensive range of federal and state government funded home care services. The 2016 Australian Government Aged Care Quality Review gave Community Care TASMANIA the highest rating in all 18 audited criteria. Your needs will be met through either the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, (CHSP), or the more extensive Consumer Directed Care, (CDC) home care packages.

We can also provide home-based Palliative Care.

Our services also include home care support for people under 65 who may otherwise be prematurely placed in residential care.

Need direct support around the house or beyond?  We provide help when you need it, for as long as you need it, to anybody who needs it through our fee paying Dial an Angel service.

We know the important role that maintaining and strengthening social connections plays in quality aged care. That is why we have established the dynamic creative connections, community connections and community visitor programs.

Our fees are more than competitive and completely up front. There are no hidden costs to you, no surprise add-ons. Meeting your needs is our priority. We are always happy to discuss how client contribution costs can best reflect your personal circumstances.

To find out more print our leaflets, newsletters or annual reports.

Please talk to us about how we can help you or your loved ones.

Home Support and Care Services

Our staff are highly qualified and respected because they are friendly approachable and efficient.

Community Care TASMANIA offers you a full range of commonwealth and state government aged care support services in your home. These range from basic care community Home Support Program through to the more comprehensive Consumer Directed Care Home Care Packages as well as home based palliative care. We can help with assessment.

We are different because we are small scale, Tasmanian based and have a long history of delivering care services to Tasmanians of all backgrounds and cultures.

Please call us to discuss your needs and how we can help.

Community and Wellbeing

We understand that supporting people to live well is about more than good care at home.

It is also about maintaining social and creative contacts and learning new skills. That is why we have established our unique creative connections and community connections programs. These enable clients to come together to create artworks, undertake social outings, make friends and learn new skills.

Community Care TASMANIA volunteers also regularly visit clients in residential care. This can bring great rewards for both clients and volunteers.

Dial an Angel

A helping hand is always welcome and always available through our fee-based Dial an Angel Service.

Anyone in need can use this service. It doesn’t matter if you are old or young, working or not or whatever your background, our angels are there to help you.

For a one-off need or for on-going help, just let us know and we will find a solution.

Maybe you need a cleaner, a gardener, a nurse, transport to get out and about to do the shopping or visit family? How about someone to do odd jobs around the home?

Our angels can make a real difference for you. You can also buy a Dial an Angel voucher - a great practical gift idea! Contact us to get your help organised today.

We Speak your Language

Community Care Tasmania has served our aged community for over 25 years from Launceston.

We have worked closely with Tasmanian residents from all backgrounds including many migrant communities.

Interpreters can be provided - please ask about this service.

We appreciate and understand our community in all its diversity. Combining this with our small scale and people-centred approach means we are best placed to provide the personalised and flexible care that you or your loved ones need.

Let us help you through the aged care maze.
