IT Coordinator

Community Care TASMANIA is a state-wide local not for profit home care service provider, who provides assistance and care to support older and disabled Tasmanians to remain living in their own homes.

You will perform both technical and administrative tasks to ensure functionality and efficiency of computer network/IT systems.

About the role

  • Assisting the organisation with the implementation of its new software programs as applicable.
  • This is a leading role in ensuring support systems including desktops and peripherals, networks, infrastructure, cloud services, mobile devices.
  • You will ensure that IT support, service delivery and projects are delivered successfully and in a timely manner by the various CCT stakeholders (including clients, support workers, and office staff).
  • Liaising with application users, IT consultants and specialists to resolve technical incidents.
  • Monitoring and enforcement of CCT cybersecurity and firewall systems.
  • Development of processes, procedure and governance to ensure the environment remains stable, available and delivery is structured and consistent methods are used to ensure high standard of service is delivered.
  • Provide a point of escalation of IT services for all CCT’s users.
  • Regular reporting on IT operations metrics to senior management.
  • Ensuring new technologies are designed and implemented in line with best practices and can be integrated in to CCT’s support structure.
  • Make recommendations for optimising CCT’s operational and service support model.
  • Ensure all IT systems are compliant and in-line with government, and legal requirements and guidelines for the privacy and protection of all users, and the organisation generally.
  • Implement and deliver on the agreed operational support model.
  • 3+ years' experience of working as an IT coordinator or other relevant position.
  • Experience in network management and help desk support.
  • Good practical experience of managing IT systems and applications٫ troubleshooting and repairing issues.
  • BSc or BA degree in information technology or computer science; additional certification (CompTIA Network+٫ CompTIA Security+ etc.) will be a bonus.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in ICT principles and practices
  • Understanding of current ICT technologies and platforms and operating environments.
  • Experience with data connectivity solutions.

Essential Criteria

  • 3+ years' experience of working as an IT Coordinator (or in similar position).
  • Experience in network management and help desk support.
  • Good practical experience of managing IT systems and applications٫ troubleshooting and repairing issues.
  • BSc or BA degree in information technology or computer science; additional certification (CompTIA Network+٫ CompTIA Security+ etc.) (highly desirable).
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in ICT principles and practices.
  • Understanding of current ICT technologies and platforms and operating environments.
  • Experience with data connectivity solutions.
